Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. She was raised by an aunt who worked as household worker and father who taught. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and would often perform show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. McCormick won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to work in the show business. McCormick got her first big job when she was cast in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for Wind It up and It's Broken in The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the youngest daughter of the towheaded trio on The Brady Bunch. The show was a collaboration between Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick admitted the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year run on the program. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice, that during the fifth season of the show she almost lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. It could have been, she says. However, the timing for our relationship was not right.
